Marco Motta

Born in Merate on May 14th, 1986, Marco Motta starts his soccer career in F.C. Usmate, to pass then to Atalanta’s youth team. Right wingback, he makes his Serie A debut with the Bergamo team at the age of 18, on the 9th of January 2005 vs. Roma. After 19 presences with Atalanta jersey in 2004/05 sport season, Motta passes in co-ownership with Udinese, where in two seasons he collects 22 presences and one goal.
The following season, after having taking him from Atalanta, Udinese yields him on loan to Torino where he plays Championship 2007/08, playing 24 matches and scoring a goal. In summer 2008 he goes back to Udinese for ended loan. After 14 presences, during winter market, he goes on loan to Roma, where he plays with continuity in the Championship and in International matches. At the end of the season Udinese takes him back.
National Team Chapter. After the rigmarole of all National Youth Teams, in 2005 he starts playing in Under 21, the team which he becomes the captain of after European Championship 2007. With Under 21 he takes part to Beijing Olympic Games. On March 22nd, 2009 he is summoned for the first time by senior National Team.
