Marchisio: «The result we wanted»

From the risk of missing the match, due to a fever during the week, to the captain’s band, Claudio Marchisio will remember the match against Fulham for a very long time. After many years spent in the youth sector and the excellent performances with the first team, he made another important step in his career as a bianconero.

At the end of the match, the young midfielder preferred to simply think of the result: «On the field I hardly thought of the fact that I was wearing the band. It was a delicate moment since we had to avoid conceding a second goal. At the end, the 3-1 is the result we wanted. It does not assure us of qualification to the next round but it definitely makes us more comfortable on our trip to London where we know we will be playing a difficult match. Now we must think of Siena, trying to forget today’s result but not the performance which was a very positive one. We must continue like this and find even more consistency».
