Back in time: 2nd September 1992 – the first match of Vialli with Juve

2nd September 1992: Juventus drew 1-1 against Fidelis Andria in the return match of the final 32 of the Coppa Italia and made it through to the next round in view of the 4-0 victory in the first leg.

The event itself is not one that merits particular celebrations if it weren’t for the debut with Juventus of Gianluca Vialli.

He spent 4 seasons at Juve and a trophy cupboard of no common type: 1 scudetto, 1 Coppa Italia, 1 Italian Super Cup, 1 UEFA Cup and above all 1 Champions Cup, which he lifted on the magical night in Rome on the 22nd May 1996 as captain. He is an unforgettable champions for his power, class and charisma with which he drew the team to the summit of Europe.
