Europa League: here we are!

During the first seasonal match at the Olimpico, with more than 18.500 spectators, Del Neri’s team achieves the access to Europa League defeating Sturm Graz, already beaten a week ago with the result of 2-1. The match goal is by Del Piero, scorer of a marvelous goal at minute 7’ of second half (1-0).
At match start both teams are very careful and till the first quarter there is only a pair of runs down to be underlined, one by Pepe, and the other one by Bukva. Then the match begins to live: at minute 17’ Amauri in the area passes the ball to Del Piero, anticipated by an opponent, while ten minutes later Szabics makes the pole shatters on Storari right side. The answer by the bianconeri is immediate (28’) again by the couple Amauri-Del Piero: the captain tries to make profit of the kick back by the goalkeeper on a kick by a mate, but he sends on the side. Once again close to the goal Del Piero at minute 37’: at the end of a beautiful personal action, Alex tries with a kick that hits the pole. A few minutes to the end of first half Del Neri loose Amauri, suffering of a muscular pain, and sends Lanzafame on the pitch.
No variation in the team, at the beginning of second half. The bianconeri are more convinced since the very first minutes and after a high kick by Lanzafame on Pepe’s invitation, the advantage goal arrives (7’): on a long launch by Felipe Melo, Del Piero gets the ball, dribbles an opponent, enters the area and kicks a great right which gets into the goal (1-0). Then it’s Pepe’s turn, served by Del Piero, to try to beat the opponent goalkeeper, but his kick is deviated in corner (13’), while as minutes later Sturm Graz gets dangerous with Bukva who, served by Kienar in the area, tries to conclude, but De Ceglie saves. At minute 25’ Bonucci, scorer of one of first leg goals, tries with a distant kick, but the ball ends at the bottom. The same does Sissoko (26’), served by Martinez at the end of a personal action, and Pepe (28’ and 33’). At minute 37’ Del Piero puts the ball in the area, Chiellini goes on the ball, but the opponents’ defense saves the danger. Two minutes later Sissoko put himself under the spot light for a wonderful covering double intervention. In the meantime Felipe Melo, who has been substituted among applauses, leaves the place o Giandonato. During the final phase of the match nothing to be underlined, to the bianconeri the qualification.
